All of a sudden when I enter a name into the "to" field of a new email the list of contacts does not pop up like it used to so I can't select the proper recipient.

    How do I fix this?

    Thanks.

As an addendum I can't send an email even if I enter the address manually. I don't have a send option only a save draft option.

    Help!

Have you tried deleting the account and setting it back up on your phone?

I've had this problem occasionally on my Storm 2. When it happens, usually resending the service books sorts it out.

Try resending service books and registering the phone on the network.

I have official .607. Tried resending service books but it didn't work.

    Still doing the same thing.

I called Verizon and they had me go into options in the email app and change a setting regarding using recent contacts from yes to no. Although I never changed this option changing it to no fixed the problem.

He said he searched it on crackberry and found the answer!

Sorry I couldn't when I tried to search.

While I'm a bit surprised he admitted that, I'm glad to see a support tech actually using outside resources instead of consulting "the manual" and then throwing their hands up in the air.

I work in IT, and often my clients will be shocked when I come to their computer or server, listen to them describe the problem, bring up google, search for their issue, find a fix and apply it. They're always like, "well, I could have done that". Ummm...exactly?
