I downloaded the nessesaary file and installed the update on the desktop manager but when i go into the application loader the new version does not come up with the others. What did i do wrong? SOMEONE HELP ME!?

Download BBSAK and try using the OS Loader that's a part of that.. it picked up the .230 right away for me without having to remove old versions and all of the other neccessary steps that usually goes along with leaked OS installs.

Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader. Delete vendor.xml. Run Loader.exe. As always, backup your device before installing.

thats my problem i cannot even find those files on my computer they dont exist. so whatsup and i screwed?

Reinstall the 5.0.0.230 installer then look for that directory.
