Did you use shrink-a-os before you installed? If so, there is a checkbox there to remove the log viewer. If you do this, then "alt l g l g" no longer works.

Nevermind. I should have read more carefully. I see now that you can't show the keyboard from the homescreen.

    Sry.

I downloaded a free app (from superstore I think) called FancyLog. It pops up the event log, I hit the BB key, and delete. Easy as pie.

For me, the following is working on 5.0.0.607, in a 9550.

Set-up a convenience key to pop-up the Virtual Keyboard.
Set-up the full keyboard to appear on portrait mode.

In the home screen (portrait) open the keyboard with the convenience key.

    Now you've got to enter " \ " \
However, you MUST press the '!?123' key before EACH character.

It won't work if you lock the '!?123' key.

"Logmaid" is a free program that will clear the log every hour. I've been using this since S1.
