So for some reason after upgrading to .148 I can't change the image of a folder I created myself. Is this just my phone?

You know, this has bugged me. I had the same problem in .75 and I STILL cant change it in the .148 upgrade...
Cmon, I really want a blue folder, haha.

Rather than recreating a new thread, I also cannot edit urls I type in? That is also very lame.

.148 is much faster but with fixing bugs new ones were created...greattttt

I noticed i deleted a bunch of the preloaded stuff on the system directory such as the folders directory, mms directory, pictures directory, etc. I have a .148 / 5.0 / .151 hybrid on my phone now, I went to check to see if I could change folders after reading this post by

highlighting the folder on the desktop>BB button>Edit folder> then when the keyboard and folder popped up, I clicked on the folder and there was only one folder there to choose and not the several others.

So I went and got these 2 CODS:

    net_rim_bb_medialoader_backgrounds_360x480_t.cod
    and
    net_rim_bb_medialoader_360x480_t.cod

loaded both of them with crackutil, then did a bat pull to reset my phone, came back and I was able to change the folders. Then deleted the sample pics and other **** I didn't need and now I can change the folders.

Check and see if you have deleted the folders. You can check with BBfileScout and also delete the not needed crap like sample pics.

People normally remove these 2 CODS so they gain space. Also you might want to remove these 2 cods from your phone after you install them, remove them with crackutil, the folders will still be there after doing so.

This problem has actually gotten worse (not done anything). Now It will not let me bring up the keyboard at all when editing/adding folders, so I cannot even rename or add new folders...no buttons work while trying but the back button, and I can move between save and cancel but clicking does nothing.

Try backing up all your 3rd party apps and device data/settings, then do a wipe and reinstall the OS and see if its any better.

Actually I discovered that I get one edit (of both image and folder name) per battery pull. Easier than doing an OS reinstall, I rarely need to edit folders.

Try doing it in landscape, see if that makes a difference.

Not really to much more difficult, but next time before you install a new OS, backup and wipe first.

Either: 1) save in landscape, or 2) click just under the save icon.
