Notice that my headset does not work when I have the aux port cable connected to my car for music. Does that work for you. I mean, how can I answer the call otherwise.
I don't know if this is what you are talking about but I saw that one person said; if they were plugged into the headset port, they could hear the person they were talking through the car's speakers; and the caller could hear them through the mic on the phone. I haven't tried myself so I can't confirm. I would think if you are plugged into the headset port you wouldn't be able to hear or talk on bluetooth because the phone wouldn't know which headset to send the call to.

It should work fine, but you may get some feedback. I have two BT headsets, the current one, Plantronics 260's, seems to be set differently. It recognizes what headphones are plugged in, and when using the audio cable, 2.5 to 3.5, it will temp switch audio to the phone for calls. Hope that made sense, best thing to do is try.
