So, I've been on my honeymoon the past two weeks and have been completely shut off from the entire tech world. I'm getting the storm in about a week and was wondering if somebody could give me some info on updates that have come out since the release. I did play with OS...65 and am anxious for the updates. Anything you guys can throw out there would be appreciated.

I've been reading...catching up on 2 weeks immediately after a hyped release through the forums is kinda difficult. I asked for a brief rundown of what's happened since the release.
Ps, I was still around the weekend the phone dropped.

many people needing to resend there service books after updates cause there things weren't working.

a couple bricked phones during update (most of them resolved)

few people have received replacement phones for problems.

Few people returned there phones

alot of people like there phones but are anxious for updates.

We complain about the little amount of application room that rim gave us (not horrid but could use more)

the phones awesome its only going to get better.

tons of free wallpapers and ringtones.

official threads on how to get it working on tmobile and at&t with edge

and a crap ton more of threads of either people hating it or loving it.

Personally, I don't think its possible to accurately describe this forum over the last two weeks in one concise post. But, good attempts so far.

My attempt: It's been a communal Love/Hate fest. (I'm on the Love side)

Btw, from my 10 minutes playing the day before release, I'm leaning toward the love it side, particularly if the OS updates have helped.

The OS updates have solved a lot of issues. I love my phone. I have said it before and I will probably say it again. People who can't program a timer on a microwave will not love the Storm. If you have common sense and think it through and just take some time to get used to the Storm (i.e. practice typing with it for an hour) then you won't have any problems at all.

Mordback is exactly right.. I think you will enjoy the phone much more if
you have at least a little technical aptitude.. Ie able to program
The dvr or microwave.. Lol

The past couple weeks have certainly brought out the best and worst
In people. People complaining about absolutely anything.. **** I just saw
A thread with some guy losing hope because he just ordered the phone
on the 5th and it didn't ship over the weekend!! Wtf!

My advice to you... Get the phone and ignore all the whining on the
forums.. Spend some time with it and form your own opinion...
