I want to get rid of this storm and get a bold. Im with verizon and they have unlocked bolds can i just switch them.

Simply put, NO. Verizon is CDMA and a GSM phone like the bold will not work on VZW. The Storm can do the opposite - you can unlock it and use it on a GSM network as it has BOTH CDMA and GSM radios.

Or wait for the Niagra which is the Bold's CDMA version slated to come out 2nd Q of 09 I think, but don't quote me on that!
