    you can call someone and take a picture while you are on the phone. it wont make a sound that way.
    havent done it, but i hear it works.

    I believe they are trying to pass a law in several states to require the shutter sound because of shady practices. My old phone allowed the shutter to be muted.

    My real camera that has a shutter doesn't make but a fast click. But. It is the privacy issue. And the dude combining because it is in the os forum get over yourself. Really it that big a deal

    He's right. There are efforts underway by some lawmakers to force camera phones to make a noise when taking photos.
