When I try to start my friends camera on her storm, it gives an error "close all application and try again" (or something close to that). I then checked her memory settings and found out that her application memory read 0.0 kb. How do I solve this?

Have you tried to pull the battery out? This solves a great majority of issues. Your friend may also have too many apps installed. Having 0.0 free is NOT good.
i've done that a few times (removing the battery) and she doesnt seem to have anything major installed. and i dont want to go extreme and wipe her phone...
