- I been asking that question since 10/29 when I got my S2. This is an example of RIM's O/S not taking full advantage of the S2's capabilities and screen size...what about pictures with our Contact List? All we get is a "vanilla" list in b&w - BORING! I haven't even found a good 3rd party app to handle either one of these problems. It's a shame when we have to rely on 3rd party apps to make the phone better! Same with SmartCalendar...why would RIM come out with O/S 5.0 and not have the calendar day update automatically on the icon??? Just doesn't make sense to me!04-03-10 09:14 AMLike 0
- Try Iconify. They offer a trial. It's available from the CB app store. It might address some of you issues.
The developer is very receptive to suggestions as well.
Good Luck04-03-10 01:15 PMLike 0 - Thanks for the info...While that's not what I am looking for, it certainly looks like a cool app. What I would like to see is when I bring up my Contact list, instead of just a list of names, I would like to see a picture beside the name and phone number. Also, when the phone rings, I would like to have a bigger picture there; we certainly have the room for it!04-03-10 03:11 PMLike 0

Do you have that annoying picID 2 second issue as you change from your home screen?
How difficult was it for you to import your contacts?04-03-10 06:20 PMLike 0 - I use ver 2.4.3 (tried 2.4.5 and I did get the second issue plus it did not work for me on 591 hybrid or 607). i didn't import the contact pictures; just the fam/friends that call me the most (or that I want to see a big picture of). I didn't use the contact pics from the address book because the PicID would look distorted. I use the same picture but I cropped the pic for the contact app and left it alone for the PicID app.04-03-10 07:30 PMLike 0
