Various times a day I have to look-up a number in my address book and make the call from there.

Sometimes I press the Address Book icon, press find for the keyboard to show and to type the name I'm looking for or...

Press the call button, select the address book tab and press find for the keyboard to show and to type the name I'm looking for.

BUT did you know that if you press the green call-button (from wherever you are) for 2 seconds it will go right away to the address book tab on you call screen with keyboard present?

Maybe it's old news or something new in .607? Whatever it is, I'm glad I found it and I consider it very useful for my use.

In the older OSes, 4.5 and such, you clicked the send button once it opened Call Logs, press again briefly would then open the address Book. Now you quick click for Call logs or hold for Address Book. Just like in newer versions, click the BlackBerry Button, opens Menu, but press for a moment and get the App Switcher. Frees up a
Convenience Key for an extra function.

Ditto. Not about knowing it already (I didn't) but about those that set initial view to log. 90% of my calls are to the top 10 numbers in my log, but the rest make me appreciate that.

Been doing it on my old 8330 and on my Tour for years. I never even thought about posting it. I assumed everyone knew.

Judging by the responses, many don't know. It's a good thing you posted it. Now, people can do what the rest of us do and get rid of the Contacts icon on their homescreen and use that slot for something else.

Hmmm... It seems I have something funky going on when I do this.

Every other time I do this on my Storm 2, the keyboard does not appear. It does not matter how I close it (back key, end key, BB button and choose close) the keyboard only shows up every other time.

    Go figure.
