Any word on a new browser for the storm? There was some stuff about RIM purchasing Torch last year but nothing has been said since. Any rumors on something new getting released?
The webkit browser is going to be built into Os6.0 it won't be available as an addon, unless these hybrid builders can work some magic I dunno how plausible that is though.

icesteve is correct. I asked at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium and was told just that. Its likely that Storm1 owners will be out of luck, especially given that the webkit browser is so tightly integrated into BB 6. And given that our phones only have 128MB of memory, I doubt we'll see BB 6.
