There is a sticky at the top of this forum with the word N00B in it. I would suggest starting there.
Battery pull
Option>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table>Menu(Blackberry)button>Register Now....
Should receive a message indicating that your device has been registered.
~Good Luck~
resend service books.. or power cycle the unit a couple times and it should come back
Maybe you should add Greatest Smart@ss to your signature as well....
Congrats your my 500th post...what a waste...
If your not part of the solution....Then your part of the problem....
the mods took "n00b" out of the title :(
I have flipped through 4 pages of threads in the last 20 mins. There is about 2 pages worth of threads that have been closed because they are duplicates saying or asking the same thing over and over again. I regularly answer this question but when it has been asked 8 times in the first 4 pages of this subforum it doesn't need to be asked anymore. I will point them to the location where they can find their answer, just because I didn't give them the answer directly doesn't mean they were not getting the correct answer from me. They just had to do a little bit of work to find it.:D
You ain't worth then. You don't get it 1.5 million BIS users. How many do you think are first timers when it comes to this?
How dare they;).
Out of 1.5 million half of them or more will take their phones in to a Verizon store to have the update done. Because that is what they have been trained to do. Half of the remaining people will call tech support and they will instruct them to pull the battery out of the device and reinsert. That will correct this issue. The remainder of that 1.5 million that I haven't covered will end up on sites like this that are getting slammed with the same questions over and over again and create an account and create a new thread. When the answer was there all along, all that was required was to open the thread up and read a little. Clearly you enjoy answering the same questions over and over. I am going to bed now as I have nothing to prove and my day starts at 4am. Best of luck to ya.
I am a TOTAL first timer when it comes to this, but I did my research and my reading for MONTHS before this OS became available... therefore, I didn't have to ask even one single question. I knew exactly what to do. I think the point he is trying to make is that if people would just take the time to do some research before they jump into something like this, they would know how to do it. If they knew to come to CB to ask questions, then they also knew to come to CB to read up on it beforehand. I'm not taking sides, but I wanted to share my viewpoint. I will be the first one to say that I was a total "noob" in the whole upgrading process, but because of my prior research, it all went without a hitch. ;)
+1 we are similar :D
And what's really impressive is she's been helping other newbies all along, through numerous leaks, even though she never installed the leaks herself. She read, she learned, she passed on. I have a great deal of respect for Schmoopie.
Thank you, Deacon. It is all about self-educating and passing it on. :)
I take it that you pointing new users to the "noob" thread made you feel important?
