    I've noticed that I can't close the browser. If I make it the active application then active the menu and select 'Close' the browser's window does go away. If I then bring up the Task Switcher (hold the menu key for 2 seconds), the browser is still listed as a running application.

    Actually, I see the same behavior with the BlackBerry Messenger.

    So, how can I actually close the browser and BB Messenger, for that matter?

    neither can be closed completely they are both constant running programs ive tried only way is to completely uninstall both

    There are five apps that can never be closed on the BB. They are Phone, BBM, Browser, Home Screen and Messages.
