Just signed up and received link in about 30 seconds lol. So far so good, there are things I really like, such as favorites/feeds treatment and speed in general.
If they tailor it at all for the Storm, then it will be an awesome browser to use.

Totally agree with the physical back button, I dont know how many times I keep pressing it wanting it to go back to realize that I need to hit the BB menu key and select back.
Also wish that it did not select the link automatically when you go over it. Since it could be hard to make sure you are on the right one. Definitely can tell it is for BB with the trackball and not touch UI.
However it is darn fast and cannot wait for them to improve upon this beta and hopefully make one that utilizes and takes advantage of the Storms UI (I sent an email to Bolt asking them if they were going to do this)
so i registered for the beta and i got the email with the links but all of them have some sort of error. i heard they are swithching the server, any idea if there is a working link?
Working for me, seems very fast, not fully storm friendly as far as things mentioned above (lack of physical back button, having to use the blackberry button for basically everything)
I do find it easier to use than Opera Mini though :)
I registered and the email came to my .mac account before I even had time to switch windows. I think someone said it above, but make sure you don't click on any of the links--it's a one-time link. I just forwarded it to one of my other email addresses, then clicked on the unsigned link from my Storm. That should do it. If you accidentally click on the link from your laptop, you'll have to request another one if they still have spots.
As for the Bolt browser...
First impressions are good. I started by setting the magnifications all to large or extra large. That way I wasn't accidentally clicking on the wrong link with my sausage fingers. I agree with the necessity of having the physical back button work. It seems like too much clicking and navigating just to go back one page. As for the speed, it seems to take a while to load the page to 20%, but after 20% it loads the page almost instantaneously. Has anyone else seen this?
I was getting Error as well. Clear cache and use new link.
Not working for me after download, not sure if it is my settings though. I have vzw bez set up but I have application permissions allowed. It installed fine with unsigned version. App opens but when I enter in URL nothing happens. After I txt in the url and hit menu, then "go", it will go back to homepage with the website in the top address bar but nothing happens. Please help. Upon opening app I did allow it to use that other website to function...so that is not the problem??
I got my link to work. In BlackBerry options set your default browser to Internet instead of "BlackBerry Browser"... If your download goes through BES you get the invalid download. I got it three times. Changed the setting... And got the download!
Is there anyway that you are able to have it automatically accept the certificate or message where it states that Bolt is trying to access XXXXXXXX site yes or no?
Is it just as simple as changing the permissions for the application or is it something else?
Also make sure it's the unsigned one
I think that accept message is a one time thing? Like Opera Mini?
Darn no JSR-75 File download support... Opens rotten BlackBerry browser...
Got my email almost immediately. No problem with the download. Am playing with it now (the browser).
why wont my link download i have tried everything? i got my email at 8:30 this morning and have been trying to download ever since with no luck.
How do you zoom in?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
To zoom you have to press the bb key and scroll to magnification. Or I guess you could enable split screen. I'm not sure if that really answers what you're asking.
But I'm on it right now and it is amazing. If they can make a version specific for storms it would be even better.
Yes I just did it thanks

I like the speed of the brower, but zooming it is a real pain. If you need to zoom in far it takes several clicks. I could see this being good if they would tailor it more for individual devices
Mine is working. I have a bb 8330 curve with alltel. Web pages load fast but the pointer moves very very slow on page.
I just got it for my Bold, took 10 mins to get the email link back for download. It works great no errors here .
That is not the issue, thanks though. I have my browser set to Blackberry and I manualy imputed it like the instructions stated, and I was able to download and install....that is not the issue. It is just that I may be imputing the url wrong or something because when I put it in, it just takes me back to the home screen and nothing after that. Is there a particular way I need to be imputing email address into the address bar or it wont work???
Like cmgeek said, the speed of the browser is fast but the zooming is annoying. I would like to see a version specific for the storm. Also tried using youtube and kept getting an error message.
I got it installed and running without a problem. It looks like it could be good eventually, but it needs to be customized to the Storm before I would be able to use it regularly. Scrolling through that menu to do anything, including zooming, back, etc., got real old real fast.
I really hope someone comes out with a decent browser soon. At this point would say the Opera Mini has the most promise. The only thing holding it back at this point seems to be the lack of click support, which is also something Bolt doesn't support. The BB Browser is actually the best right now IMO, the only problem for me is the ridiculous amount of lag when typing.

What's up guys
First off I want to say thanks to anyone who has helped in downloading or using the new Bolt browser. I haven't had much time to play around with it but my first reactions were "this thing is incredibly slow" and "this is terrible", but after a battery pull and learning to use the browser, I am a fan. I knocked it earlier but it has come around. The only thing I ask is that they work on enhancing the browser to work with the Storm. This thing has a lot of potential. Anyways, keep posting and sharing your experiences with this new, fast, innovative browser.
Thanks guys.
Yes, thank you! This could be amazing when reworked for the Storm!
