So i open my phone and see a new icon to install NHL. Its not the actual application but its the icon to install the app.
Any way i can block that from happening?

If your carrier is pushing it, no. You might as well just hide it. If you delete it, it'll just get pushed again. It's likely a very small file, so it won't hurt anything hidden. If it's coming from a site you visited, clearing your pushed cache may stop it. In the Browser, options / cache operations.

Some carriers allow you to call them and request to have the service books for such "pushed content" removed from your Blackberry provisioing. I know VZW has this ability (I don't speak from experience, but someone indicated they can do it).
