I just bought a used blackberry storm 2 and ive only had it for 4 days. The battery does ok when im at home but when im at work the battery dies when i have it in my pocket, even if i charge it full it dies in like 3 hours in my pocket. Also i feel it get really hot. i turn off the wifi and I have the radio saver app to turn off the radio signal so it doesnt use up my battery looking for signal. Oh and i have it flashed to cricket. I make sure that i close the browser and other apps.

Are you leaving any apps running? Also, even if your device is locked the bottom buttons will wake up the screen if pressed.

Yea that's how I lock my phone but that won't stop the bottom buttons from waking up the screen.

If you want to carry in your pocket, I think what you're looking for is a sheath holster. It'll cover the bottom row and not add much bulk.

Try turning the screen brightness down too. That helps a lot to conserve battery.

I have 3 official batteries for my device and each one had different discharge rates.

Not sure why but they do.
