I didn't know where to post this but I have a Storm right now so thought I would post here just to get info.

I keep hearing about this Blackberry 6, what the heck is it? Is it just a phone that is coming out?

Not sure where you have been lately, but Blackberry 6 is the new OS that is coming in the near future. It will not be compatible with the Storm 9530 though.

Because, sadly, the storm has been discontinued. That's why here haven't been any leaks for it lately.

I dont get an upgrade until May 2011. When will Blackberry 6 be released? I was gonna upgrade to the Bold.

RIM has not announced which models will support OS6. At this point it's only speculation that the Storm 2 will get OS6.

They did announce that it would work with the Storm 2, at a trade show. But even then I wouldn't take it for gosple until they release it for the storm 2.

If you can't upgrade May 2011 I wouldn't even be looking at phones today, a lot can happen in 11 month.

Don't worry, I'll make sure that as long as it fits/works on a storm 2 stock, it'll fit on a storm 1 modified. You can hold me to this and remember this msg. Even if I have to make a program to let you select only one stock font/ringtone/clock-face/etc per os. Even greater chances will be had by those ppl without bis/bes/bbm as those things combined can be stripped error free as long as the libs and apis are there.

Not quite true. The storm is still being produced for several carriers. This past weekend in fact I found myself at a Verizon counter inside a large retail store which just reintroduced the. Storm as an option. A month ago they had the Storm 2 but now just the Storm.

Actually there was a programmer (or 2) that checked his logs for people that downloaded his software and he saw a storm II in there with 6.0...
