ok i installed this OS last night and everything went smooth all my apps and data transfered and the OS it self was running really fast however this morning i woke up and my screen was black and non responsive as if their were no battery in the phone so i did a battery pull in order to restart the phone and all it did was turn on a solid red light then its started to load and died again mid process....so i plugged it in thinking maybe the battery was dead ( even tho that would make no sense as it sat on the cradle all night so i figured its impossible.) but now its displaying a battery with a lightning volt thru it....so im assuming that my battery is dead and its charging is that whats happening ?? is my phone dead? do i need to wipe and reload the OS? Has anyone else experienced this???

I got the same issue, although i was using the phone and it restarted. It then did the red light thing and kept resarting. It took about 5 restarts before it came to life.
No! I got the same thing. Phone was charging all night. Woke up this morning and the phone was dead. Battery has a volt going through it but didn't charge. Also the phone would have never died over night using .85.

Definitely a issue with .90.
I agree... ive had every Beta OS that has been released for the storm and this is def a first time experience for me.... especially since i know my charger works as its charging now!
I had the same thing happen to me last week and I am still running .75. I had to do several battery pulls before it came back. I try to always shut it down before doing a battery pull now and it hasn't done it again. Your battery is just fine.
It could just be faulty battery, but is anyone with problems doing a full wipe before you install the new OS? When these are leaked I first install them to briefly check them out, but then I do a full wipe and reinstall and they seem to respond better.
My process:
Install, check it out.
Backup data and 3rd party apps
JLCmder to do the wipe
Reinstall OS
Reinstall apps
Restore Data
Battery Pull
Backup (not apps)
Wipe with JL-CMDR 2x
Uninstall all other OS's from Vista
Install .90 to Windows Vista
Remove unwanted files (background IMGS)
Install OS to Phone
Restore Backup
Update Routing Table / Books
Install Apps
QuickPull
At this point I plugged it in to charge over night.
Sorry for the brief post, im in class.
Apps Installed: Opera Mini, Google Maps, Google Sync (Manual), BB Maps, Weatherbug (Update 4 Hrs - Location Off).QuickPull, Youtube, AIM (Signed Out)
I wouldn't worry about it. I have had this happen on every OS upgrade. After a few battery pulls and checking your apps to make sure they are not running due to a default setting, everything will go back to normal.

I will keep checking this thread and update it accordingly. Ill beta test this for the week, and assess the problem then.
I installed the new os 9 yesterday and I only did one battery pull and that was because my screen wouldn't dim to sleep mode. So far I think this is the best os so far. Its faster and everything looks like it got.bigger
