I initially had a storm but because of service issues had to return the phone and go to the curve. BB said the internal antenna on the storm wasnt as good as the curve. So Verizon came out with a network extender which I will set up tonight. I also received my storm back and it is charging now. My question is I would like to update to what you guys as the expert testers have seen to be the best OS system so far. I have read all the threads regarding the newest update but also see some good updates that were released earlier. In your opinion if you were in my situation. Brand New Storm with .75 what would YOU update to.
I suppose thats a very subjective question around these parts, but for me the best has been .76. I've been on pretty much all of them but as I actually use my phone when I'm not on crackberry, I need it to work and not be hourglassing or rebooting all the time...
I vote for .103/.106 hybrid....Day and night difference from .75.... Now we know that .118 is out there and CX said that it is awesome and it's what we expect out of storm!!! Can't wait, but for now the hybrid is great.
I would say .103 is the best. It is incredibly stable and it improves on .99.
If there is any small demerit that I would give it, it would be the small bit of typing lag that is present. I believe in earlier operating systems it was perfect or at least much better than it is now.
The .103 / .106 hybrid is really that good? Guess I'll have to try that one out then.
.99 Worked best for me but I currently run my own Hy, of (9530).99/(9530).103/(9500)106. I recommend trying .99 for atleast 3 days or any one you do before switching to anything else.

Where do you see .118? If you go to the Beta OS forum, which CX updates, he shows .111 at the latest known beta for the Storm.
I have enjoyed .99. I haven't tried anything newer. .90 sucked so bad once my phone started working good again with .99 I have been afraid to touch it.
