BBM5.0 OS.328 Dock Buttons Bug - Huge Oversight

Debated putting this in the Apps section but felt it was more appropriate here with all the other newly discovered bugs.

Bring up BBM5.0

Highlight someones name

then tap the middle icon (Contact Profile) and watch your highlighted contacts jump around. It's quite fun to play a game to see which one it's going to land on.

Moral of the story: you can't look up your contact's profile without actually clicking on them and then hitting BB Key --> Contact Profile.

It doesn't do it on all of my contacts but certainly on the majority. I also noticed that the Search and Add Contacts icon do something similar. I found that by just continuously tapping the icons, you'll just cycle through your contacts without ever being able to do anything with them.


Anyone else? How does this crap get through testing?

Yep, I remember reading about this a couple of days ago. I think they're rushing stuff out.

What's happening is the UI isn't registering that there is the litter dock down there. Every time I do it, it jumps to whatever contact would usually be there instead. If you're at the bottom of your list, it works.

It boggles the mind...
