Hi I'm a new user here, also a newbie to BB, I really love that something like this site exist, and I was reading thru the forums and I can see alot of expertise and experience in posts, I hope that someone will help me with my issue.

So I've got a BB Storm2 9550 from verizon, that was working fine untyl I accidentally dropped it and it cracked the whole screen, but the device was working NP. I decided that I will buy a new replacement part display and replace the damaged one with the new one. So I do have a new display and I take apart my damaged 9550 removed the display and replaced for the one I ordered, It turns out its a display from 9920 not 9550, the phone symbols looks a bit different, both red and green are sharped on ends and facing down and the BB logo and the back button on the new display is smaller. That would not do anything else then a slight change in the look that i absolutely dont mid at all. The problem here is after I assembled the phone and turned it on, I'm getting a split screen on half with double the original image, the touch controls works the original way but the displayed picture is divided on half giving me clone screen on each of the part.
anyone got idea why is that ?
It looks like software cannot correctly recognize the display or a resolution settings are wrong, or do I need a software from 9520 unit ?

You need a screen made for a 9550. The one for the 9520 as you have found will not work properly.

What kind of "newbie" replaces parts on their blackberry? Especially the screen… Heh. Just kidding. Anyways, be careful with your sources too. Some sites sell non-OEM hardware that may not work sa well with the phone, if at all.

im a "newbie on this forum", maybe next time i need to write it exactly the same way. sometimes its good to introduce yourself before you ask anything.

As I found out, the display I got is a different version of the display, that wont work properly for my device.
