I tried asking this on the BB storm help but the answer did not help any.

I can't seem to get my VZ nav screen to show up normally it only gives me a square image in upright mode and can not flip the screen. the app seems to work but I can't really navigate the app at all. Has any one experienced this before?

any thoughts?

There is no 87 update for the 9530 model storm. Are you sure you didnt try and install the 9500 87 OS? Or did you mean 86?

Try and uninstall nav, hard reset your phone and then try and reinstall.

there is an .87 os leek. the problem started with .85 os. I love the new os but I really want to keep my VZ NAV. last thing I want to do is down grade.

oh and I did do a hard reset and a reinstall. here is the help I got on one of the BB forums.

.86 is for the US 9530
.87 is for the Euro 9500

it's the exact same OS but they are device specific

Apparently it doesn't, I have .86 and VZ Nav works fine.

regardless if it works or not...you should be running .86 for the most up to date OS for the 9530, this might be why your phone is a bit glitchy

the only reason I have .87 is because I could not get the download to .86

This is incorrect. Some people are using .87 on their 9530's. Just because it hasn't leaked doesn't mean some ppl don't have it.

FTR .88 & .90 are out there too, just not leaked. But they have left RIM.

.86 is working pretty good for me, NOT that I wouldn't like to get a look at .88 or .90.

Lucky you, .86, especially with the screen response I am getting on my inbox, it is really bad. I am on call next starting tomorrow and need the blackberry to have a good response so will probably downgrade during the day.

This is exactly what I thought when I read CX's response. If the OP is in a position to be testing .87, why doesn't he/she know better than to post in the general forums. I would have expected them to PM someone else utilizing .87 or go back directly to RIM.

Also, the OP only has about 7 posts on CB. Seems odd, but does not mean it is not possible, tha someone with so few posts would be testing a non-leaked os.

If they have it then they have it. Just because someone has it, doesn't mean everyone should be able to have it. And OP did say it started with .85. 3rd Post stated it started with .85.

OP-Did you try a fresh wipe? DM does back up everything when doing an install, even 3rd party apps. Try doing an entire wipe then reinstall VZ Nav.

Doesn't have to be. Could be somewhere else like torrent sites or something close to it.
