So I'm reading an attachment to an email I sent myself. A simple text file. It seems that's the only way my storm will recognize the file, as an email attachment.

    Anyway,

So I am READING the file, but when I go to download it, I get a message from my Storm that tells me "you are about to download a file that cannot be viewed on your Blackberry device." wtf? sorry, but that's just plain stupid. Maybe RIM or Verizon wants me to buy something so I can do what the device is advertised to do?.......

Txt files are readable as attachments but can also be downloaded and read. I do not know why your Storm is giving you that warning. Just download the text file to your media card. Then open the media application but instead of choosing video or music hit the blackberry button to pull up the menu and choose explore. Go to your media card and navigate to your text file and select it. It should open with no problems.
