Hi guys/gals,

Today my buddy txt msg'd me to let me know that he cannot send BB messages to me. . . and could not for the last 2 days.

That being said, i used and received messages fine this morning from co-workers. BUT, that was this morning...since my buddy texted me to let me know of the issue (around 4pm), every time i bb message anyone on my list now, the user's status goes right into "busy"....and they never get the message.

I've been on the phone with Telus Blackberry staff...the guy was incredibly helpful, despite not being able to fix it. He even had his BB out and tried to bb message with me back and forth.

The interesting point to that is: him and i could converse with bb messenger just fine! Similtaneously, i would bb message 2 or 3 others on my list and nothing happens... I did get lagged responses (about 20-30mins) from only a few of the test messages i sent out. Very unreliable, at best.


Fixes tried thus far:
- Battery pull
- Delete and re-add contacts in bb messenger (did this to the original buddy that brought up the issue to me... i deleted, re-added...he got that request and accepted, all very fast like.... yet we still can't converse back and forth.
- Turned network connection on/off.... dubious at best.
- Technicians visual analysis of whatever info he and his supervisor were going over on their bat-computers while i was on the phone.

How does this happen? Worked 100% fine up to today....err, yesterday rather.


Should mention the original buddy; he gets a message that i am "not available" and cannot send a bb message. . . strange non?

I would really appreciate any insight into this issue.

i'd try a battery pull, I've been bbm'ing people all day long with no effect

I appreciate the help, but i've been down that road.

I am having a very similar problem. I was able to use my BlackBerry messenger just fine on my first Storm but when I got my replacement Storm BlackBerry messenger had crapped out on me. Whenever I try and add any of my existing contacts it gets held up in "Pending (waiting for authorization).

Hopefully this gets resolved.
