Sorry to make a new thread about GPS but I am having trouble with using BB maps. I know that it is supposed to work on the Storm. I have set my location on in the GPS menu but when I try to get directions to somewhere it says unable to calculate route...am I supposed to be outside in the open air when I'm doing this? please help. thanks

I can't even get it to locate a satellite!! Very frustrating. No way I'm gonna pay $10/month for VZ navigator.

i got my bb maps too work. in advanced options>GPS> i have mine set too Device GPS, Location On, location aiding-enabled. try that out and see if that helps

BB maps works god for me. It locks quickly and is accurate. In some of the other threads people have said it can take up to 20 minutes to get a lock

Googlemaps is faster. Try that.

Havent had a problem with BBMaps yet. I uninstalled VZ Nav right away, and have navigation in my car so I dont really need the nav on my phone. I have given it a few tests though, and it has been able to find my location on about 7 or 8 satellites within 45 seconds every time.
