Ok when I first got my storm my battery life was good, .75 was the best, some other OS's were bad....I upgraded to .113 and my battry life was as good as .75...I would measure this by fully chargin my phone then take it off the charger and go to sleep....eight hours later my phone would still be at 100%........then I decided to upgrade to .132 and 141 and it would give me 85% when I'd wake up..........I go back down to 75 and 113 and same thing 85 % after about eight hours of standby time.....is this natural ? What are some of your guys times ? I recently upgraded tp .148 and still can't get 100% after eight hours standby time..................help !!!!

The phone will not use NO BATTERY just because it is in standby, it will use battery because it is always connected to the internet, so its constantly sending and receiving.

Also, depending on the service of the area you are in, that can drain the battery.

The phone is still powered on, its still running off battery power, and it is on, eventhough the screen is off and your not physically touching it.

Happens on all phones, just happens on smart phones faster then a normal phone

This thread is a little crazy. Even when I had .75 my battery would never stay at 100% even if I never touched it. It's common sense to assume that if the device is powered on, the battery is being used. When I fully charge my laptop and leave it on standby overnight, do you think the battery stays at 100% Of course not. People expect way too much from this phone.

I have done it every night for the last 2 years, on my 8830, 8130, 8330 and now my 9530, it wont hurt your battery.

Just thinking out loud here but when I had .75 I had little or no apps. Now I have a ton of apps and I am running .148. Most shut down when I close them but some still run in the back ground. Options>Advanced>Apps>Stuff with bold type seem to me to still use resources and battery.

    Your millage may very.

I noticed the same thing, when I was on .113 I could go 2-3 days between charging the phone then when I went to .132/.141/.141-hybrid I had to charge it every night because I was down to 15-20% at the end of the day even with mild use. I have not really checked with .148 yet but I did notice I was down to 35% today with heavy use all day. I have not changed much on the phone between the different operating systems. All I basically use is the phone, text and facebook. I also use the browser once and a while but not often.
