Has anyone else noticed that the backlight auto dim does not work in landscape mode? I was riding to work on the bus today and noticed that it seemed real bright turned it to portrait mode and the backlight dimmed. Turned back to landscape and the back light went to normal brigtness. Hope it is fixed in a future software release.
I guess i had to have one thing wrong. everything else on the phone works great. non of the other problems I have been reading about. I am going to try a battery pull and see if that fixes me up.
Battery pull did not fix it. I guess it is just a software glitch. I am sure RIM will get it right. Over all I LOVE this phone. I ahve had a Blackberry since they were the little pagers and by far this is the best one.
I went in and turned off the auto-dim. Make sure you save the changes. I thought mine didnt take but I forgot to save. Also turning off auto-dim seemed to speed up the screen flipping.
NO.... you guys simply held it upside down... the light sensor is right beside the LED indicator, so if you have your hand covering it, then you get dimmer screen.
So, anyone still experiencing this issue. I have the same problem, will dim in portrait, but not in landscape at all. Just wondering if it's a hardware problem or software.
