    What is the point of the "automatic dim" option, other than putting me at a risk of a seizure?
    To save battery life and adjust appropriately to the lighting conditions. My TV does this as well, and I love it. I just wish it were smoother on here so it wasn't so obvious that it changed, and I keep covering up the darn sensor!

    I think my Curve is supposed to do that too. Does the Curve have a sensor? Where would it be?? Thanks!

    Yeah, the sensor is by the LED light at the top of the phone. I'm not sure if all BBs have this feature but my last curve did as well.
