For the vodaphoners that already have the storm....what apps or software have you put on it or is a must have for the storm?

I love getting my phone and then customizing the **** out of it, and am new to the blackberry world, so it would be helpful for me to get feedback on storm compliant apps...

some apps i have on the radar are

    VIIGO
    Google Talk
    Maufait
    Piconews?

what else would you guys add as must haves in terms of games and useful apps

Great list Stanfa! I think I'm going to bookmark this thread... you've done your homework.

One app that really intrigues me is Vlingo voice to text.

Dam buddy that was a good list. I'm really like viigo so getting that for sure. I hope with this BB ap store they are gonna do that we get some sort of radio streaming app. I like a lot of the apps that the iphone offers. I hope RIM on our respective carrierd offer kickass apps.

Thanks for the list. As soon as I get my Storm I plan to add Agendus since I cannot stand the way BB syncs with Outlook.

As someon who is New to the BB world, I have a couple of question about aps.

I am aware the Storm will have an "emulation/conversion mode" for apps written for non touch screen BBs. Is it better to go ahead and get these or wait until [if] they are updated for better integration with the Storm.

Also IF I get these "non-Storm" apps, which Blackberry device should I select from the download menu

    Thanks in advance!

I'm sure they will. my gripe with page once though is that it can take forever to refresh. I paid my comcast bill 5 days ago and it still shows that I'm past due.

Good list, I'm hoping some items are already built into the 4.7 OS, like the alarms app, voice notes, HTML email, etc.

Some additional apps I'll be adding

    • YouTube App
    • SimCity
    • PDF to Go
    • SlingPlayer (when it becomes available)
    • Qik
    • Some Web Signals Push Services (Accuweather, etc)
    • Ziplorer
    • Screen Capture App
    • Nav4All
    • Trapster
    • JiveTalk
    • gCalc

I'm not sure I understand what's going on w/ Facebook. The phone supports it, but does it come pre-loaded with a Facebook app? Or is this something that must be downloaded. I ask this from a timing standpoint, because my IT department has a completely closed-door policy, so any third part apps must be downloaded BEFORE I hand the phone over for its BES makeover.

if you use your existing bb on vzw and go to the vzw home page that was preset in the browser then you can now download the vzappzone to your bb.

Hmm. I'll give it a try.

Fact is, because my 8830 has always been locked, I've never tried to make it a personal device and download applications. With the Storm, though, I'm really going to try to take advantage of the features. I'm going to take all next weekend to figure it out (I hope).
