Noticed yesterday while working with a newbie to show some apps, and it froze. Could not shut it down either.

Required full reset. Then gone from active apps, but still unable to load.

So I deleted it.

Then I went to redownload it, and the download fails.

Anyone else?

Yesterday my "Local News" tab wouldn't update, but today it's all good.

I deleted it to fix. Then reset BB and downloading it again, but every download fails. Sucks. Error message is weird too. Download starts and nearly ends, then boom, it's failed.

Guess I'll find another news service.

Not sure why this was moved to 3rd party apps .... it's a BB app.

But I did the following:
I downloaded to my pc, then emailed the download to my BB. Can't DOWNLOAD the dang file on the BB!

And I still cannot get the dl through a web link to go through on the BB either. PITA.

Oh well. If anyone's got a better idea, fire away!

Why not go to the Third Party Apps page and do the OTA download? That's how I did it and it's never once given me an issue.

That's what I posted. I get the dl going through properly, and at the very end, it fails. Over and over and over.

The OTA download won't fully finish.

The website link is useless for the BB too.

Maybe I need to do a battery pull and get it reset.

Fixed.

The download linked at freerange is bad.

Found the fix at bb.apnews.com, downloaded from that link (larger file), installed and working now. Still a PITA for something so simple that it should be a one click link under 'help' for on-board apps. Maybe I'm expecting too much.

Oh well, appreciate the feedback. All is well now. Back to your regularly scheduled programming....
