Title says it all. Many of us have been "downgraded" when we hooked up to Desktop Manager. I lost most of my apps.

Has ANYONE successfully converted their platform back to the OS (.65/Platform .82) that originally shipped??

I cant stand not having BB messenger! lol

Yes, I just did it like an hour ago. Downloaded it from the blackberry website (must use internet explorer). You run the program, and then it fires up Blackberry Desktop Manager, and from there you can select what programs you want to keep/delete.

    I'm now seeing .82.

    Everything works like it should.

    BlackBerry® Software Updates

Choose 9530 for the phone, then go to the next page, put in your phone number and click download at the bottom. You need to use IE for this.

Count me as another successful downgrader who restored platform 82.

One tip: once you install the .82 platform download, and start DM, you may be given the option to choose between installing two system updates (1) the platform .7x from your original CD install of DM, and (2) the platform .82 that you downloaded. Be sure to install the new platform you installed. On my computer, it was NOT selected by default and I had to manually switch to install the .82 files.

I did revert back up as well, I did lose that "Wireless Upgrade" selection in "Options", however. I had speculated that's why some have it and some don't?

I was at a Verizon store today. The demo models they had on display were running v4.7.0.65(Platform 4.0.0.76). It was a buggy mess. I went to Best Buy later to pick up my Storm and they had a working model there for me to try out. It was v4.7.0.65(Platform 4.0.0.82). This one only had a few bugs and was actually running pretty well. Shocking how Verizon stores (I've been to 3 different ones all have the .76 software running and all were extremely buggy, but the Best Buy store had .82 and it worked well. Needless to say, I had a Storm box in my hand (the one I pre-ordered), but I got my deposit back. Just not good enough for my needs. I am probably going to go with a Bold.
