it does work in landscape. but the thing i hated about the one thats preloaded is it only signs you on as "mobile". I got a 3rd party app called "Instango" and its all real-time and you are shown as fully logged on. You can also see your buddies icons ect.
Yep, works in portrait and landscape. You can be on AIM all day long, but when I wake up the next morning it makes me relogin again, no prob though. Swiping left or right will go to the next conversation. Very good app.

err did you download the ones from RIM because they work better for mobile instant messaging then any other app out there IF you don't use multiple accounts.
You can send pictures directly to aim and it is all realtime just as instant as sitting on a computer...
when sending big pictures or attachments it is slower then a computer but other than that its like being logged onto a pc
I also tried downloading instango and it was not working very well for me. Should I download the recommended or the beta version? Instango was not working in landscape mode for me either. Any ideas?
you have to download the one from the blackberry site I believe. It seems the other version, most likely from Verizon doesn't allow landscape, plus Verizon's uses SMS's. BB is data.

Make sure you download the beta version. Only the beta version runs natively on the Storm. Landsacpe mode should work in the beta version.
