I will start by saying I love my storm to pieces.

Just curious if anyone has this same problem, or a solution for it.

I find the ringtone volume to be very weak, even at the highest volume which then sounds like the speakers are going to blow.

I have converted a handful of songs from itunes using the same bit rate and sample rate that I used for my previous cell. At first I expected it was because of the sound quality, but since i have tried using a full mp3 file as a ringtone and I am still experiencing the same weak blown out sound.

I feel like the sound is fine with video and the included ringtones albeit still quiet.

But seems pretty horrid when i receive a call

My ringtones sound great. Excellent volume, very clear.

How do your mp3 files play on your phone? Your ringtones should be the same.

Have you tried amping the ringtones via audacity?

I must say my ringer is pretty loud as well

Mine is pretty loud but only rings once or twice. I think it may be lagging during the process...
