Say, when using mapping apps. My old TREO had some 3rd party software that would allow the backlight to stay on as long as it was being charged. I was surprised when I started using different map apps on my berry and found that even plugged in, the backlight goes after a bit. Any 3rd party software, hacks or other to remedy this??

Thanks!!!! Gotta play with it some, but right off the bat it seems to at minimum do what I was looking for well. As for the other added function (I went with 1.95) im not sure as I saw some comments while reading around trying to locate it that indicated some potential settings issues with the vibe and ring. Here's links to both though for any folks that might be looking down the road.

v 1.95 with Vibrate and Ring function:

Open the clock on your phone, then hit BB button, options, set it to automatically enter bedside mode when charging, then set it to not dim the backlight while in bedside mode. This will mean that each time you plug in the phone, the clock will start up, which will mean you have to close the clock.
