Any suggestions for stopping the mute and speakerphone????

I've been trying to keep up with the threads and reading as many responses...so I aplogize if this has already been covered...

Beside using a headset...are there any ways to prevent my cheek from muting a call or putting a call on speaker? This is so annoying and happens EVERYTIME I use the phone.

Also, I don't think it's possible, but I have my contacts set when I hit the green call button - is there a way to make the keybord automatically pop up?

I'm having a bunch of other issues, but I would at least like to be able to talk on the ohone while these other things get sorted out.

This is a BIG issue, many, many complaints on this one. Here are a couple of threads about it.

I'm sure there are many more threads too. This will hopefully be fixed via a software update soon, although no one knows exatcly how.

Other phones that have touch screens use a hardware sensor to detect when the phone is against your ear/cheek and disables any further input until it detects that it's no longer against your face, i.e. proximity sensor. Since the Storm doesn't seem to have a proximity sensor or any other harware device like this, that leaves it up to some creative software solution, how they will do it, no one knows.
