This OS is unbelievable. I seam to keep finding many things wrong. The latest problem I'm having is as so...
Never have I tried this, not sure why I did actually. I was on the calling page to view that I had a missed call. Instead of calling the person back I clicked the BlackBerry button and clicked "instant msg" then clicked "BlackBerry message" so it took me there, immediately I do what I normally do and Landscape the device to make my message fly.
No sooner doing so the device did not landscape. Not only that but the keyboard was missing... OK... So I closed the BlackBerry messenger app then reopened it and went in the front door this time. Still, for that person only; no keyboard. I used my shortcut left key for the keyboard and nothing. Clicked "enable reduced keyboard" and nothing. Clicked the keyboard on the screen and still no keyboard for the same person who's call I had missed... Though everyone else had a keyboard and I could send anyone else a msg, this person will be left in the dark forever... Or at least until I reset my device. What a waste just to send a bbm...

I've actually had this problem on .60X as well.

It appears that the keyboard gets hung up if your not in the specific application. Let me elaborate - My Gtalks as well as my BBM's appear in my Message inbox, if I open them from my inbox my keyboard may or may not work. If it DOESNT work, if I launch the app itself regularly (ie Gtalk or BBM) the keyboard works fine. No idea why this has happened I just noticed it. Something to consider I guess. If this is the only problem YOU have in .713 your doing awesome!

Try reloading the OS. I had a quirk (not on 713) a while back whereby I couldn't get contact names to show up when I type (auto fill in?--forgot the name of the feature). After trying a number of things, and calling tech support, we mutually decided I should reinstall the OS. Problem solved. next time, when things get way too weird, I'm just going to reinstall and be done with the problem(s).
