mobile.weather.gov will give you an animated map, but I don't think it works if your OS is .320. Thats the only reason I updated.
A few of my local news stations have launchers that send me to their website by clicking their icon on my app screen. On the front page of their site is a direct link to local animated radar. I think it's great because I don't have to enter zip codes or pan to my area. Maybe there is something available like this in your area. Visit your local news stations from your BB browser and look for a link to download a BlackBerry Launcher.
I use AccuWeather for animated radar. It's very good whilst on the boat.
Open up the AccuWeather radar page on your browser, then click on the image, then hit the menu key and select image address, then copy the image's address.
Now you can create a shortcut to that exact image showing your current radar for your area. I use QuickLaunch to create the link. There are other apps avail. that let you create your own web shortcuts though. ( I have LaunchPad too, and can create web launchers for any web page that you want.)
This is the fastest way for me to check the radar.
There is another thread describing this method in more detail here > http://forums.crackberry.com/f134/ra...1/#post2100644
The best thing about this is that it just loads the radar image in full screen, so that you don't have to navigate a web page to see it.
If you aren't able to do this, then I might me able to make a shortcut for you if you can install the .cod using your PC
BerryWeather has antimated radar, but it's a paid app
weather channel?
I've been using Weather Bug
i use weather bug just turn on your gps from 911 only to locate and it is quite accurate
I feel like an *****. I can't get so much as a Jpeg to work w Berryweather let alone a map in motion. (aside from the native map which isn't bad at all). Anyway I get an error everytime. Any help?
