Can't you guys still install IE version 5.5 on OS-X and use that to do the update, or is that now verboten?

ha i installed it... its just a simple plug in, nothing but an ActiveX control..... once u do that you get this page (see attached)

once u click "check for upgrades" it boots up device manager ( i have 4.7 installed and asks me for PIN input, so its just looking for a plugged in storm. pretty straight forward.

All it does is open up the desktop manager and asks which device you want to connect to to 'check for updates'

so we have to keep checking

If you have a current BB it will offer up an OS upgrade if you don't have the most recent and it will also do an app load.....Nice, but alarming, (It's nice to have your actual OS installed on your pc), you don't want to have dm open when you run this, AND you must have previously sync'd to dm so your BB will be recognized......

hook up an existing BB, (I used my pearl), to your pc and open this, leave dm closed, very interesting to say the least....

i'd rather be "left out in the cold" than using windows, that's for sure.
