Whats up VZW..... whats the delay in a new OS ? I think Ivan Siedenberg has lost his edge and should no longer be running VZW. Get with the times Ivan, the other carriers are kicking your ****. You should be ripping RIM not VZ. They build the phone and the OS, Verizon sells it , along with a phone and data plan.

I was told by the tech at my local Verizon shop the official update is due mid-may. I don't like spreading speculation so take that for what it's worth. I'll believe it when I see it. :-)

What do you have to lose? If you don't like it, then go back to .75 again. I've been running .109 since it leaked on here and it's great for me. Fast and stable. The camera is very fast to take picture (much better than .75), the browser is fast, battery life is great for me (easily two days w/o a charge), the phone is stable and clear. I have no complaints... I haven't tested everything so there may still be bugs. I don't use the media player or send MMSs all that much so there may be bugs that I'm not aware of.

At the very worst, you'll waste 30-60 mins upgrading and downgrading if you don't like it.

I went straight from .75 to .109 and it is light-years of difference. I have only used it 1 day so far and I have not noticed significant bugs although I'm sure some exist including many .109 users noting not receiving calls. It has not been a problem for me thus far! What I have noticed is lightening fast speed compared to .75 in all areas and more free app memory. I have noticed some memory inefficiencies/leaks but overall .109 operates much better on low memory than .75 from what I can tell

If you are still on .75 it is worth the upgrade hands down and like those before me said....YOU CAN ALWAYS GO BACK.

it's 4.7.0.100 and it will not work on 9530 because the radios are different (GSM vs CDMA).

Hi evrybody,
i got this annoying issue after upgrade to .109
the bluetooth LED (blue) and sms/missed call LED (red) is gone
so i won't know if i got a missed call. this really bugging me off.
anyone got this problem too? please share..

Just added my third line and my third storm all running .109 with no issues. Chatted up the the rep real quick and got some juicy details. he said the BB was in there last week and showed him the latest os. wouldn't give any details other than that it was pretty impressive and the government issue os could be used to unlock security/electronic doors via that little port above the earpiece?!?!?

I am running .109 and it seems to me that everytime I charge my phone and charge is full..the phone is frozen and very sluggish and always have to do a battery pull. Anyone have this issue and is there anything to do??

I am still using .75 because, although I have downloaded .109, there are so many conflicting posts regarding how the upgrade should be done. For example, one post says go to Add/Remove programs and remove all BB programs, including ALL other OS versions, other than Desktop Mgr. Another post says "You don't have to uninstall anything. I have all the old OS's still installed". Which one is correct? All? None? Somewhere in the middle?

I need to get the straight dope so that I can continue to upgrade with the new betas. It is just crazy that the official version is .75 and yet the betas are at .109 (also seen something about .110). Official releases are way too slow to wait for.

I was in your shoes a few months back. I was confused on what to do, so I rolled the dice & tried installing the OS upgrade. I didn't delete or wipe anything. Just downloaded the update. I have updated to every beta upgrade that has come out for the Storm & I haven't had any issues. I'm having problems with .109, but I thinks that the result of themes & apps that I've downloaded in the last two weeks. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Okay, I went over to blackberryos.com and downloaded the .109 hybrid from megaupload. But when I try to unzip the file, its asking me for a password.

Anyone download it from there, and if so, whats the password?
