1. To be of low or dubious quality. Origin: comes from 'whacky', which evolved to 'whacked' or 'whacked out'. Eventually shortened to 'wack'. The 'h' is usually dropped to differentiate the meaning from 'whack', which is to hit something hard or, kill (old wise guy terminology). Yo, my dog, those shoes are wack.
Hi
Ive just downloaded the trial version, seems good, only gripe is that it makes a noise i assum its meant to be when i go past a letter in the alphabet but i think there should be an option to turn it off!
Nice app I was wondering if that voice can be turned off it was sooo loud when I tried it in the computer lab at my school everyone looked at me lol(yeah I know shhh!! dont judge me) and mabye the scrolling sounds could be little clicks or something...
turn down the volume... hold down the volume key till the voice goes away... pretty simple
Anyway
If you took a little more time in developing the Graphical interface it would be nicer. it just looks cheap you know? but it is a great idea..
If you made it look a little nicer and it didn't have to be in landscape to work i would pay for it but since it looks like its not even ready for alpha testing and you charging 4.99 im gunna have to pass! nice attempt though and very original idea!!!
Noted. Im just trying to figure out what more you can do with a contacts list to make it "look better". The ui was made as simple/clear as possible for easy reading and usage
So, the name listing is landscape. When holding the phone in landscape, I have to tilt it left/right to scroll the listing instead of up/down. Is that a bug?

I hate using apps that don't have an option to turn off sounds. There is no reason I would ever want to hear the letters or call/message options announced. I am fine with using my eyes for those functions.
As far as turning down the volume, I don't feel I should have to. Yes it is a workaround, but turning it down and then up again after using an app makes this less convenient that using my finger to find my contact.

Seems like a great idea... and one I thought would have been native. I'm not a business user, yet I have MANY contacts. I bought a touchscreen phone w/ accelerometer for a reason and hate all the keyboard shortcuts in the OS. I don't want a keyboard unless I'm typing, so this feature would be great.
However, the idea is sound, but I don't like the sounds in this idea. Also, any way to make this work w/ the current Contact List instead of creating a new list?
The landscape only option isn't the best, as if I'm going to call someone, I have the phone in portrait orientation. The tilting left and right to scroll up and down seemed real odd to me... took a bit to figure out how to get it to work. Why don't you tilt up to scroll up and tilt down to scroll down?
Keep working on this, and I think you'll have a hit.
