its 3410 kb....so it has to be something noticeable since its the 2nd largest file in the java folder

I just installed and during my regular dumping noticed this which ends up being the biggest file after.

could this file be the culprit of the memory leak some are talking about?

thats what i'm wondering also...could also be some feature that no one's noticed yet either though

I haven't installed it yet, but my friend that has been looking at it says that it might be the start of customizing the phone themes. It's only his guess though.

Not sure what it does but I removed it from the Java folder and it did not change my install size.

    1. wiped and installed my normal package mines some files left MOD file.

    2. wiped and installed same as above w/o MOD file.

Install size was 59.2mb both times and I am now running w/o this file.

I am not sure what this means or if this is any help but this is my experience.

Java and a .cod file? Java could mean themes or possible program running, and can also mean possible memory leak fixes for programs and/or themes.

    going to install without it

as far as it being vcast...vcast has been available since .65 so there would be no need to throw in a new cod file...

also, its a little odd that it has such a simple file name compared to every other cod file in the java folder.

Dang, and here I figured it would be the file that allows our wonderful CB Moderators full access to all our Storms!

well i SURE am having memory leaks since installing this OS, if getting rid of that file seems to stop this for anyone, I'd be glad to drop it from my BB
