They made the OS more stable (so far), but it is much slower while typing and doing other stuff, like scrolling thru days on the calendar, or opening apps.

I hope we do not need to choose between stability and speed, and I hope the processor on this phone is actually enough......

If this phone ends up being this 'laggy' it wont be acceptable for most users IMO.

look at key rate settings in phone, after loading 99 for what ever reason key rate is set on slowest setting.. not where I had it

Don't believe that this matters for the lag at all.

im pretty sure everyone has it they probably just dont mind it because it doesnt bother them enough to do anything about it.

I read somewhere on here the other day about this and someone said something that worked well for me...still a little lag, but MUCH better

I agree with what seems to be the general sentiment. I thought .90 was a dream as far as typing. .99 is about 10 steps back in this department. It does seem to be bit more stable, which is about the only thing keeping me from going back to .90. Oh, that and it seems like there's a new leak every week

Can anyone tell me wat the difference this setting makes. I put it on normal but if it affects how fast the blue follows wouldn't i always want it on the fastest setting ? Y even make a setting for it, unless having it all the way up has some kind of neg. effect...then i could c the reasoning.

yeah i dont even know why they have all thoose settings like do they really make a difference?
Are the factory settings the "optimal" setting for the storm or are they meant to be changed?
Going back to .76 made me realize how good the typing COULD be and how much better it really should be by now in .99

I am getting the slow typing as well. It's causing me to have to pause and wait for it to catch up. I've had .99 for about a day and a half and it looks like it's time to go back to .86.

I haven't noticed a decrease in typing speed. I set my keyboard to FAST. I went from .75 -> .90 to -> .99

The keyboard definitely seems more accurate with the touch screen than it did in previous releases.

Totally agree with you. This is getting to be a deal breaker for me. If I can't text effectively theb what is the point of even having a blackberry?

I notice the lag in .99 to be annoying too, but I wouldnt go back to .90 because of it.. .90 would be lightning quick going between menus and then all of a sudden every menu I opened the little clock would appear takign 2 seconds to open every menu.. I would rather take it easy with the fire fingers texting than have the whole phone be slow. But thats just my opinion. Do what you all please!
