I currently have a 9550 with cracked screen and broken power button (top left). Does anyone think i would get the 9570 if I replaced it through insurance? Would be a nice way to get an upgrade for $90.00. BTW the phone works and I could wait till March 2011 when my contract expires. Thoughts???

Probably not gonna happen. There are plenty s2's to go around. There are even still s1's through insurance. I'm sure this same question will be asked hundreds of times before the refresh is released. Who knows they might even change the branding for this reason just like they did the tour to the bold

I'm sure there are plenty of refurb'd Storm2s laying around. The Tour > Bold thing was the result of a low inventory of Tours to swap out, lucky for me.

The 9570 is not yet available and won't be for a while yet, so if you have a cracked screen now, I'd just get that replaced now. Chances are that you won't get a 9570 later as a replacement anyhow.

I would if the screen crack was big. Its only chipped just below the send icon on the left side. I think I will wait till my contract expires in March 2011, turn it in for $90.00 refurb/refresh and cancel my insurance. No contract, no reason for insurance. If the phone breaks I can just sign a year contract and get a new Storm 3. Surely they will be released by June of next year!

should have been more clear...i would get the replacement from asurion march 2011 before my contract expires... if that one breaks after i drop insurance i would then be eligible for a storm 3 if they release it prior to the breakage of the replacement phone...
