Problem with that is that it uses the .90 radio code, bringing back the VSOD and camera issues again...

Lets get someone to make this file and upload it. That sure would make it easier for the less computer savy people.

+1 for this. I tried to load .106 to my computer and then xp did not recognize it. I just gave up.

There are a few issues with it, but overall a good build.
Yeah, well those few issues are always something I don't like. Last time it was memory with .103, although I'm not sure .75 is better.

I'm not loading any other Betas. I want the real deal. I'll wait.

So this is a Hybrid build? I think the title of this thread needs to be edited to reflect that since it seems people(including myself) are getting confused if this is/isn't the official beta release.

I am still getting the MMS forwarding error. If I get an MMS fro ma regular phone number, and try to forward as such to another regular phone user, I loose the original picture and get a greyish box as a replacement. Others are saying this is not the case. Please verify you are using the same procedure to test.
    1. Receive a MMS from a phone number
    2. press forward (not forward as)
    3. Try to send to another phone number

I agree, very confusing title - MODS need to come in here and clean things up! I am suspicious of the existence of this rumored 9530 .106 beta though, why would RIM have the same ver. number for 9500 and 9530 that would confuse the heck out of me?

I understand why this thread is confusing, this is a hybrid os. Please see the link....

I have installed this hybrid onto my 9530 and it has been working rather well.. Its froze on me about twice since i installed yesterday. It seems that there is a bit of confusion here as to what type of OS this is

This is not a beta release.

This is a combination of the .106 .cod files being put into the .103 build for the 9530. For those having a hard time with this just think of injecting .103 for the 9530 with .106 9500 goodness.

I agree that someone should put this up all together. Actually I have been thinking about something like this but then again i dont want someone talking about I bricked their phone if they didnt install it correctly.

So are we talking about using the 9500 leaked beta 1.06 OS on the 9530 in here, or is there a specific file for the 9530 and a leaked beta 1.06?

I would edit if I could, but edits of titles don't appear to work.

Since downloading this hybrid OS, I haven't noticed anything different except when locking & unlocking the device, it is so much faster than .103! I swear it took at least 15 seconds before. Now it is instant.

Also ,the hourglass/loading icon seemed to appear a lot in .103 and was pretty laggy, but this hybrid OS seemed to fix that problem .

I'm pretty happy with it so far.

i think you battery guys are having hardware problems...

ive hit every update that has come out and havent experienced anything but normal blackberry reliable battery life. 2+ days on a full charge
This is the same for me. I have had no problems with battery at all. For those that are still having the battery concern does your phone use vibration for any of your notifications or alerts (when you get an email or SMS...does your phone vibrate)?
