Not that big of a deal, anyone should be able figure it out...

Anyways...battery still no good. Off the charger for about an hour and a half, and already lost 20% battery life. Anyone think it's possible that maybe the battery METER is off, and the battery isn't really discharging? Would be nice if someone can check their battery in another phone to see if they get the same reading.

seems like people are happy with .106 in general. Thats good, I will hold off on v4 then .106 for the 9530 works well, and .106 for the 9500 isnt all that different. There are a few issues with it, but overall a good build.

I echo that statement Sith, I am truely satisfied with my .106 for the 9500 - stable, good signal and battery life.

CX has stated NUMEROUS times that you cannot use a 9500 OS on the 9530.

With that person's thread, the platform number does not change. There is a reason for that. It does NOT work.
I havent seen any downfalls as of yet. I can only speculate that this is a solid build in this form. If there is an issue you can always downgrade.

I would not have even consider this method if it was not for Sith and his hybrid. I am not a programmer by any means, though I do have a basic understanding of Java Script. Fundamentally this should work fine and not cause any issues....But only time will tell

On another note. I want to make one thing clear. This is not a new idea, this is something that has been done on many OS's, not just RIM's. I just applied it to the current OS's. I do not take credit for the idea. I cannot speak for everyone, only my experience with this. I hope it all works for everyone, at least until we have something from RIM...leaked or otherwise.

This is part of how I did the hybrid OS's. Not entirely. The PL versions DO matter, and you cannot take vastly different PL versions and combine them. It will eventually cause issues if the versions are different enough.

I have not had an issue with BBM yet, but everyones device may perform differently.

Yes, you should be ok. If you happen to run into problems you can always downgrade.

I am suspecting this thread will get moved like the other one started yesterday. Until the leak is posted here this thread shouldn't exist. It will get cluttered with off-topic posts like mine.

This is not a leak thread... It is a "how to" thread...

I feel the color depth has improved, and as far as MMS I have not had an issue. But that is on my device, yours may behave differently.

I've successfully installed 106 on my 9350 as well. It was a little of issue to get Java files copied but suspect that was a computer problem not software issue. Will post any issues I find.

How can I check color depth issue?

having issues actually just installing .103 into my computer.... i think it may be because i have an older OS installed currently (sith's hybrid v3).. trying to uninstall but it is saying "the feature youare trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" any ideas anyone?

No mms issue, you are able to forward a MMS and still retain the original Pic. I was under the impression that everyone had this issue.
