Is it safe to delete files that my phone shows but is unable to find?

If i go into.... APPLICATIONS - FILES - ALL FILES - I have loads of files like......
meta.app.rem (quite a few of these)
berryweather-1.cod.rem (12 of these)
316135 (loads)
meta.app.rem (a few)
net_rim_bbgroup_database.cod.rem (loads like this)

When i select these, it says "Unable to display file" and then the file name (like above)

My question is... am i safe to delete these files?

Probably not. How would you delete them even if you wanted too? I do not see an option to delete.
