I'm new to this whole thing, but I heard many people are happy with the leaked os's. I haven't heard any real problems with .109 that cannot be fixed. So my question is, stay with .75 or upgrade to .109? Pros and Cons would be the easiest way.
Just finished installing. Was easy and problem free. So far so good. Definitely a lot faster. The fact that hitting the lock button is the only time the screen comes on is nice cause it was almost always on in my pocket since it was constantly getting pushed in.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I don't have any of these issues with .75, like hitting the lock button and it not locking or it being slow in general. If anything, the only time my phone is laggy is when I load certain themes on my phone (AndroidX), other then that it's all good. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it stays this way until an "official" release.
I waited until know to install my first leak. i never had any problems with .75. Now i am running .109 and the only diference i see is the reponsiveness, GO button and when you lock the phone it does not turn on when the screen is clicked. On both OS i had reboots I am ok with that. Highly recommend the upgrade.
I'd have to say that there's never a disadvantage to upgrading to a leaked beta. Sure there can be problems, but that's inevitable with any OS leaked or official. For me, part of the fun of owning a blackberry is exploring the OS options to see what works best for what I need.
I upgraded to OS .109 (from .75) about 24 hours ago. It seemed like everything was working great until about an hour ago. I've had 2 reboots and I noticed that the green "GO" button is now gone on the QWERTY keyboard screen. How frequent do you guys and gals experience reboots?
i had .76 and upgraded to .109.. have had .109 for a bout a week and i dont like it.. glitches here and there.. and at first i thought it was faster but after using it i think its slow.. when locking the keypad and unlocking its slow,,, typing a txt is pretty good but screen to screen is not always fast.. im debating downgrading back to .76 today..
.109 transforms the phone close to what is should be if you ask me. Been on it for 4 days now and no problems so far. Did not even have to do a battpull yet.
