I can't seem to top about 34 MB. I tried reducing the home screen to four total icons, all the rest going into a folder I labeled "other". I went from about 33.4 MB to about 34.4 MB. Gained 1 Megabyte. Anything else I am missing?

Don't worry, I am the same, and my phone runs JUST as fast and my friend's with 40+. I'm starting to believe that those numbers are not an accurate representation of how smoothly/fast the OS runs.

I have 40. .75 runs so smoothly. It requires deletion of a ton of apps though

Dude don't freak out about your file free memory. It's not nearly as big of a deal as everyone seems to think. As long as your above 12 you shouldn't have any problems. Download some apps, have some phone, and don't WORRY so much .

I have been down to as low as 15 and running smoothly. I normally run between 34 and 44 depending on how much my phone decides to leak though. .103 is definitely faster than .75 on my phone with the same amount of free space. I upgraded today.
