I can't wait for the issues to be ironed out...I'll give the Storm another try then!
And of course they will. If everyone could only be as patient. In regards to .86, a few of the bugs that were making those mad in .85 have been resolved. No difference in speed from the previous build.
I don't really consider speed one of the issues that bugged me. I suppose the one thing I actually did like about the iPhone was the auto correctiveness in the keyboard. You could continue typing and remain fairly confident that it would adjust spelling for your. The storm is just not there yet, interms of auto correction!

I know there are several issues involved that make such a thing unlikely, but it'd be nice if RIM could put up all these builds. Just making it real clear that they are NOT officially sanctioned builds, and that using them is at your own peril. Or even just let people sign up to be beta testers for new builds. There could even be contests... Like a free phone to anyone who discovers a security exploit in the BB OS, and maybe free accessories to people who find lesser bugs. And maybe having your name immortalized in an additional page or two on the "About" screens to list people who found bugs that were fixed.
I know it's unlikely to happen for many reasons, but I can dream once in awhile can't I? Chuck out an idea here and there in hopes that maybe it'll strike a chord with someone in a position to make it happen.

Really? I never had an iphone but i find the auto correct pretty solid. I've always found BB auto correct software to be pretty solid.
I must add that I have been a Blackberry user since 2002 using a real keyboard obviously. I only "tried" the iPhone for a few weeks and the auto-correct was one of the "few" things I liked.

You would not be able to say which bugs by chance would ya? If not, no biggie
if the storm could get even as good as the iphone for autocorrect, and for corrections, i would be so happy. but i expect for rim to be even better! come on its RIM! they should strive to BEAT the iphone in that feature.
